Isidor - away according to The Sun

The great shame for me is not trying Isidor alongside Brobbey. He would be far better than Diarra imo.

Brobbey as our sole attacker just leads to all in wrestling matches with centre backs. His hold up play would be far more productive if he had a strike partner carrying a goal threat.

Diarra covers a huge amount of ground that Isidor wouldn't. It's underrated work that goes unnoticed but would quickly become apparent if it wasn't happening.

That would last two minutes before people are screaming about how we're getting overrun as a result of having two strikers.

Aye they're completely different players.

Noone in the top flight now plays with 2 strikers. Diarra is the only of our midfielders with the profile to get past the striker while also being able to support the midfield. This is why he plays.

In a team of 11 players with 4 dedicated to preventing goals it does not seem unreasonable to have 2 players dedicated to scoring goals.

I think a midfield of Xhaka, Sadiki and Diarra would see us bottom 6 all next season. There again I am expecting us to sign better midfielders than the latter two.

Kind of player who'd leave and score hatfuls somewhere else.

I'm not so sure...he's a bit over reliant on his pace for me. He's a bit limited in other areas to be a lone striker at the top level.

Agree though that he would be better suited to some other team's tactics compared with ours.
