Is Trai Hume good enough for the Prem?

Could be just agent talk to put pressure on us in contract talks.... he's our only real contender for the right back spot so the bargaining power is all on Trai's side.

Rumours of another suitor might help get it over the line.
 

Trai Hume & Dan Ballard were our stand out stars last season.
To replace Hume with someone as good would cost so much money.
Granit Xhaka will absolutely love Trai, hard as f@@k!

As much as I love him, Ballard didn't stand out at all until the play offs, mind. In fact, he was pretty mediocre and here nor there until then. Let's not rewrite history.

Listen, I think he's one of the lads from last season who can and will step up. He's got it in him. He was rated by Arsenal before he came here via Millwall on loan. It's not hard to see though, until the Play Offs, he wasn't one of our better players.

Would have cost at least 15 million more likely 20 plus for a premier league right back. So keep him could be an agent trying to boost his new contract.

This. He was tremendous in the 3 play off games, but Mepham and O'Nien were our first choice pairing for a while last season.

Ah ok, that’s why he was awarded Player of the Year by the fans and Players Player of the Year, by his colleagues.
These awards were awarded for his performances prior to the play offs.
Not much more I can really say HH.

Am I missing something here? He's talking about Ballard not Hume.

He’s talking about Ballard, you’re talking about Hume

I think we've got our wires crossed here pal. I was quoting you saying Ballard was one of the POTY's. He wasn't. Until the Play Offs, he was middling whilst playing his part. Obviously v Coventry and Sheffield United, he was brilliant.

Agree, Hume was the most consistent player over the whole season and he probably has been since he's signed. A real gem we've picked up. I think he'll take to the PL really well.

He has another 2.5 years left on his current deal, doesn't he?

If that's correct, the club holds pretty much all of the power here.
