Is Oxford sold out?

At a dark time in our history we gave Leyton Feckin Orient the entire North Stand,5k+, they got promoted we got relegated to the Conference.

Since then it`s been a maximum of 1800 away with a bit of segregation, or a lot of segregation when we play the sister fiddlers from down the road. 1200 is all they need for the family. :D

You'd think it would be prime advertising space as a bare minimum. You'd think they'd consider building a temporary stand, I'm sure that's what Bristol Rovers have, it feels temporary anyhow.

They rent the ground from Kassam.
He owns all of the land around it including the car park. Makes money from people using the restaurants and amenities around it, bowling alley etc.
He has no interest in their 3 sided triangle and stitched them up big time.
In our eyes a perfect landlord.

it is remarkbale they have that huge area of the ground fulfilling no function..
The Oxford lad on here might be able to shed more light on things, but If they go up, I think Kassam has an obligation to build a stand. There’s about 7 years left on the current lease, at which point he is in a position to flog the ground as the land is worth far more if sold to developers. Oxfords only real income in match day tickets and sponsorship as Kassam gets the income from the likes of catering. He’s just going to bide his time until the lease expires.
