Not really true - County Durham is in fact wick with magsMore red and white by a mile. The great unwashed occasionally crawl out of the woodwork and of course usually have full replica kits on, so are more conspicuous than the more cultured and classy Sunderland fans who are by far the majority.
And Teesside Mags as wellUp there with Teeside Mags. Wankers.
Fast train linkWonder why that is, it's 35 miles from scumville

Theres a lot of Co Durham nearer Newcastle than Sunderland though. Plus those West Dirham woolybacks find it easier to get to Newcastle. Its their local big city whereas we arent.Considering the River Wear flows through a lot of Co. Durham, you'd hope it would be more Red and White
More mags in Durham than Mackems?
Ease off those tablets, they're clearly not good for you. The heartbeat and soul of SAFC is in the pit villages, they would tell you that themselves
I get the metro from Newcastle to Sunderland for games and I was wondering on Saturday heading across for the Bus to West Brom, where does Sunderland/Mag territory start on the metro line?
Obviously I knew upto Gateshead is Mag territory and definitely from Stadium of Light is ours. But I haven't heard of the places in between really... Although Seaburn is really close to SOL so im guessing thats ours and Boldon too??
Their local big City is Durham funnily enough... Although most Derwentside Mags like to tell people Consett is in Newcastle or right next to it etc.Theres a lot of Co Durham nearer Newcastle than Sunderland though.
