Iraola signs for Liverpool

Footballers and managers aren't arsed about stuff like that, never gonna be relevant to where they decide where to go really. He's turned down Milan who are about seven billion times bigger than Palace.

If us, Palace and West Ham were in the same sorta position then players woud probably pick them two based on location.
£ rather than location mind

Surely lampard wouldn’t walk out on Coventry just after getting promotion

Maybe he’s letting friendly journos know to get a bigger transfer budget ..?

Why not would get to manage in European competition with a far better team, if he starts awful with Coventry he could get the sack and not get the opportunity again for a while

Maresca did for Leicester.

Like for a lot of managers your stock is highest after you win promotion and before you then do badly in the prem. Its a ruthless buisness and this might be the best for his career.

If McKenna had left Ipswich 2 years ago, his stock would be far higher.

That depends on if he took someone else down really

Why wouldn't he? Despite us and Leeds this season, it remains highly likely that all 3 promoted sides go back down this season too, as has been the norm for a while now. He could do incredibly well at Coventry and still end up going down (as Leeds could have this season), such is the gap. Palace have Europe, next to no chance of relegation and a vastly superior squad, as well as more than likely being allowed to spend more than at Coventry too

It only happened 2 years in a row with particularly shit teams. Too much is made of that, that's not really long enough for it to be a trend.

If one team stays up next season, then promoted teams staying up will have happened for as long as promoted teams all going down

All 3 stayed up in 22/23. It was only 23/24 and 24/25 where all the teams have gone back down
