This seems to be the general opinion of nearly everyone who reads about it. Even though you can argue Palace are 'bigger' in many ways, there is still a bit of a much of a muchness between the two in terms of what they can achieve against the teams who have hugely higher revenues, which unfortunately is a big part of football nowadays.

Footballers and managers aren't arsed about stuff like that, never gonna be relevant to where they decide where to go really. He's turned down Milan who are about seven billion times bigger than Palace.

If us, Palace and West Ham were in the same sorta position then players woud probably pick them two based on location.
