Iraola not going to Bilbao.

I'd be amazed if KLD didn't at least try and have a conversation with him. He is one of maybe a handful of managers I could see him sacking RLB for this summer.

Suggestion from the city fans over the weekend was Pep is gone end of the season but they've already got Maresca lined up to take over.
Maresca had his shot at Chelsea. Knew what he was walking into, à very good squad but still failed miserably
City will want a winner..other than promotion with Leicester he is meh.
There’s far better than him around. Just lazy journalism/clickbait

Was the reason he was leaving Bournemouth not because of his family situation? Sure i read his wife just hasn't settled in England and wanted back to Spain/Basque Country.

If she didn't like the balmy South Coast, with London just up the road, the chances she's going to like the rainy NW isn't very high.

RLB will get at least first half dozen games next season.
If he continues where he seems to be leaving off there could be some painful decisions to be made

Wasn't he literally an assistant manager at Man City?
Yes. Lucky to be at that level. Only had one job in Premier League, with a top club. Looked totally out of his depth.
Marco Silva could be a shout albeit he duffed it at Everton
He would be my choice, if Howe got the bullet and PIF consulted me (which they obviously would). Good manager, albeit with a ‘blip’ as you say.

Nothing in Maresca’s CV would entitle him to even be considered for an assistant manager role at City. Would be astounded if they appoint him.
Agree that it would be a mental appointment but there seems to be a bit too much traction behind the rumour for there to be nowt in it.

I was equally as shocked to read it. Seemed to come from apparent ITK city fans, mentioned Pep was leaving and was getting a stand named after him at the Etihad and that Maresca was replacing him

While I think this is the most likely outcome I honestly believe if a situation like Mowbray/Farioli happens again and they have a chance at a number 1 target I'll be shocked if they don't go for it, regardless of the fan backlash.

I was just about to post this

Maresca won a European trophy and Club World Cup, not too shabby. I don't see Silva getting a job like Man City.

Liverpool have a long and honourable track record of persisting with the wrong fella for ages but he did win them the league and they're back in the UCL so by amy measure he's done enough

Has Carrick definitely got the United job ? Iraola's ceiling is probaby higher than Carrick's
Like comparing Guardolia to Warnock
Carrick won't last until Christmas
Carrick will be a Sbragia or Crosby type appointment, one of the lads

I suspect Iraola can be a nasty twat
