Investment in the stadium

Most grounds have a bit of wear and tear after years of use. Been to the likes of Nou Camp even that has issues in the concourse. Most grounds are the same and worse than ours

Be interesting to see what the did and used. Not sure how I could find out, might have an ask around some contacts tomorrow.

A full recoat would take a good few weeks imo
I've got a job we're about to look at which has some cladded roof repairs to do. It's a warehouse built in 2005 in the heart of the Midlands and the eaves of the sheeting going into the valley gutters is showing signs of delamination and leaks on rooflight joints etc. Should get the quote and scope in the next week.

You're right about the coatings on the external steel, it should be classed these days as corrosion class C4
C4 High Urban and industrial atmospheres with moderate sulphur dioxide pollution and/or coastal areas with low salinity.
It'll definitely be ready for some remedial treatment after 25 years

Curt edge corrosion, let me guess the spec is get rid of the loose coatings, abrade the rust of, apply cold applied Caltech Or Sika. At a push reline the gutters in plygene or similar

The fact that Roker Park was on the brink of condemnation and therefore required to be demolished in the mid 90s means it isn’t a good yardstick for what is a good and well kept stadium in the mid 2020s!

If the stadium isn’t properly cared for it might not have the same shelf life as Roker. The stadium is a bit of a clip at present.
Nee bother laughing gas

Not the stadium itself but make a huge difference when Sheepfolds is redeveloped. Where can people go for food and drink (not on about vans) that close to the ground apart from along North Bridge Street, the Colliery Tavern? Not much choice and never has been and that will change.
