International Cricket Grounds in England



From what I understand, I don't think Durham want test matches at present as it wouldn't be cost effective. Limited overs internationals being more profitable
 
Also though why not use exisiting grounds they have used before like Blackpool, Liverpool or Southport?

I‘m not sure any of these have a capacity as large as 5,000. Plus Leyland is pretty central in Lancashire, which is fairly big geographically. They are also well supported I think. I’m actually a Lancs member this season, as they gave me a ‘taster’ membership for buying tickets for the Ashes test at OT 😀

Went to Old Trafford in August and thought it was a fantastic ground and will look even better when they finish redeveloping it.
