On cricinfo, got a selection of the best fast bowlers to pick their all time favourite and their current favourites. I think Glenn McGrath has spent so long winding up other nations he's now turning on individuals, his first target is Essex Boy.

Current favourite
To me, of the current, they have not played enough Test matches to really qualify for the best fast bowler grade. In saying that, I have definitely been impressed by the England fast bowling unit. Jimmy Anderson has always had good potential and he is now doing well outside of England. Bresnan has impressed me with the areas he bowls and builds good pressure, as does Broad.

Steyn and Anderson as the current best, no surprises.

Can anyone hoy up Andy Flowers article about Malinga opeting to retire from test cricket as been a wake up call to the ICC that test cricket is in danger of being wiped out

To be fair I threw this article up as of interest rather than to have a dig at you.

Think it's sad that of the all time greats there were so many whose careers overlapped and a genuine debate whereas of the current lot there's Steyn, Anderson and maybe Morkel and Gul (not totally convinced by those two) who are better than the rest but never going to be thought of as greats.

And for the record I don't think Nannes or Malinga would ever be top test bowlers, Lee is past it and Tait's just too much of a crock.
