What an innings man

Chanceless

Our best ever

Stokes buzzing!!

We really need another 50 from him

That’s a statement and a half but I’m really starting to come round to this. Barring injury he’ll breeze past Cook atop of the all time runs for England.

Boycott reckons he’ll pass Tendulkar, which I’m not so sure about but I’d love it if he did.

Runs wise he may well prove to be, but there’s far too many variables to really agree an anyone being the best ever.

Bradman is an overall exception as his numbers are freakish.

Root will be right up there when assessing England’s best but Pietersen was better IMO. More dominant and the best England batsman to watch in my lifetime.

Those from an earlier era will probably have Gower up there.

You’ve done it here mind, mentioning the P .

It annoys me that they never mention he bats in England most the time

Hed average more than most of them if he played here

How’s it a fair comparison?
They did mention it.

Dunno which one. Don't recognize the voices enough. But Kartik spent years here.

I know what you’re saying but it’s been backed in from a high of 7.6 and is very strong
It is not normally this strong because it happens so infrequently these days
My point was the market clearly expects India to at least match our total if not surpass it, which given the last time we were here is understandable but I’m not sure I agree. Our relatively slow scoring rate probably helps the chance of a draw I guess but we won’t lose any time for weather so 🤷

I agree the draw seems short currently. Tough to judge until both teams have had a bat. Stick o' Rhubarb, my Aunt Dolly, Shot Boy, and so forth.
