Fwiw, the fans in Chennai have the reputation of being the most sporting in India.
The most partisan are supposed to be the Bengalis in Kolkata (and Bangladesh).

fair do's mate, with the English lads playing in the IPL these days the game is much less insular in India.

Indian cricket fans are great. As fanatical as England football fans but without any hint of aggro at all.
The only trouble I heard of was at Chandigarh in 2006 when beer was for sale inside the ground.
True to form an English bloke started it, but the Indian police carted off the Sikh that he was fighting with. No surprise, you get an incredible amount of leeway as a foreigner in India. Plenty of hassle as well like.
Benaud was an absolute legend

id play archer but the disrespect wood gets in media drives me mad

england have won 5 tests away in a row. Wood has played in 4 of them, archer none

yet he’s considered more important, why?
