When Bell is in the ODI side he is a problem and we need to get rid, when he is out the side he is the answer to our problems and needs to come back in

How many times has Ian Bell won England an ODI, iv'e got his 100 against India but we may have lost that match lol, c'mon name 1.

If Ravi is batting 7, he shouldn't be playing

I am fine with Cook opening

Cook
Davies
Bell (our best batsman and that pains me)
Morgan
Bairstow
Buttler
Patel
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Dernbach

Bats deep.
Power
Class

Not a bad shout. But the batting still looks a little thin, can we get 300 plus with that line up?

A left field suggestion. Owais Shah? Was he given a proper run in the one day setup? iirc he looked alright and could hit a beefy six too.

I've heard it all now. Why would we want to go back to that shite

He is our best Test batsman and a treat to watch. The one day game has raced on in the last few years and left the likes of Trott, Cook and Bell behind.

We need to go with the dynamic young bats such as Stokes, Hales, Bairstow and Buttler.

KP is our best test batsman if you are counting the saffers in the shake up.

The aforementioned are no better than the present lot.

Bell is the best in the test, KP is just the most destructive, and as to your last point, their strike rates wud b better, don't include cook in this argument tho.

they are English batsman bought up batting against county second string bowling attacks on english wickets. Not good enough like the present lot

Trott, Bell and Cook are not big hitters of the ball and their strike rates are woeful. They have also had a fair crack at the whip. And won us few if no games. The IPL and 20/20 cricket has made them look dinosaurs.

Why not give the young lads a good run with a few seasoned performers.
