Our current squad depth would struggle is what you should have said.

Our squad depth next season is unknown territory for all of us outside of the scouting and management team, who will already have their targets in mind and ready to spend hopefully.
 
Just play a team like this in the conference league group games:

Ellborg
O'Nien Seelt Hjelde Jones
Rigg Browne Aleksic
Ta Bi Mayenda Mundle

Some of them will leave, but there's others like them to replace them. Also toss off the league cup completely, play u21s.

May never get a better chance. We could have a better side next season and yet be worse off points wise as lots of other teams will strengthen. You have to improve just to stand still. Say Tottenham stay up, they’ll be a different beast next season.

I think it could happen, Saudi don’t wanna get there. Maybe 1 or 2 others don’t because of the financial situation. We are fine anyway. Let’s go for it. We may not need a great points haul to finish 8th, it’s also possible 9th place can nab a conference league spot too, requires Villa to win Europa league ad finish exactly 5th.

Don’t worry we will just amortize all our Summer buys over 10 years like Chelsea (LOL) joking….

Next seasons squad wouldn’t struggle. If anything it helps us.

Here’s why…

We will sign only 4 or 5 players this summer all who will go straight into the first team according to FG.

So that’s four or five extra players on top of the current squad.
We don’t need to sell anyone therefore unless they ask to leave no one is going anywhere again according to FG.

That’s a lot of players who need to be kept happy and need to be playing football on a regular basis.
An extra 10/16 games does that.

Getting into Europe helps us not hinders us. It keeps 20 players happy. It increases revenue. It also means that we’ve got a much bigger and better squad that’s also playing more games which means overall quality increases.

Essentially we have a league team and a cups team. Imagine the progress the likes of Rigg and Mayenda would make playing 20 games next season.

Expand the stadium and name the new wing The Kyrel Block. Sell that to his wife’s hamster for £50m. Job done. Punishment will be harsh (😂😂) and meted out early 2045.
 
Here we go, the usual responses of “it’s too soon” etc
One poster even said we got promoted too soon ffs.
Who in their right mind would not want us to finish as high as possible and give us a taste of Europe?
Carabao cup and Conference League would be our squad players match time.
If we have aspirations of being a top half prem team, which we do, we need to embrace extra games.
 
Almost nobody on here has seen us in European campaign in their lifetime but piss their pants at the thought of it.
Who cares about the future outcome of playing in it. The real question is, do you want to see us in a European competition in your lifetime and follow us into the obscure European cities it may give us. Absolutely
