if we fail to get promoted

in that situation should ross stay on? can't imagine safc failing to finish outside the play offs so would he be safe if it was a narrow defeat in the play offs??
Of course he f***ing should. We aren't Real Madrid who can afford to sack a manager every 6 months and still win trophies, this club needs a complete change from the top down.
Donald. Methven and Ross and effecting that change. Success doesn't happen overnight

What a shite thread

How quickly people forget the state that this club was in six months ago - no manager and no team. A realistic estimate of how long it would take to rebuild the club and the team in order to achieve promotion at that time would have been two to three seasons. If we get in to a play off position this season we will have done amazingly well . Personally I think that we can dare to hope for much better than that.
I think that's ridiculous, we are by far the biggest club with the biggest budget by miles we should be at least in the promotion shake up. I am sure if you ask Ross he would say the same.

I think we will win the league by 5 or 6 points.

We’ve lost one game.....folk need to calm down and stop being so emotional

What’s funny about that? You don’t agree with his view?

Not after yesterday. I thought we were going OK. Some terrific results against some poor and some OK sides. We somehow beat a Charlton Athletic club 2-1 who beat us in the first game of the 05/06 season in my first game as a season ticket holder. Scunthorpe was thrashed 3-0 at home. That was the game I thought we were going up. We then got a 4-1 win over Gillingham. Then was the consecutive 1-1 draws at home to Oxford and Fleetwood. We also beat Rochdale 4-1 in a brilliant game in terms of result. Peterborough at home we got a great 2-2 draw. We went to Shrewsbury and Doncaster Rovers and won 2-0 and 1-0. Following that up with a 3-0 home win over Southend United. Plymouth were beaten 2-0. Then got draws against Wycombe and Walsall. We beat Barnsley 4-2 at home to end November. We were on course for a great 1-1 draw at Accrington till the weather intervened and then we beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at home.

But yesterday we were piss poor. I has rocked my confidence and belief.

To be fair the level of performance has been poor for a while. Anyone who can’t see that has their head in the sand.
This. We’ve been poor but getting results. We don’t have enough quality to guarantee automatic, that’s the long and short of it. I think we’ll do play offs or grind out 2nd place maybe. We need more quality. If we didn’t go up, next summer we’d have to get rid of the Oviedo type players and get 3-4 new first teamers in.

A lack of stability got us into league one. We need to stick with JR and he’ll get us back to the premier league.

Heard him speak in August before a ball was kicked, and he said that we would lose a few games with his attacking style of play - chasing games coming from behind.

We lost yesterday because of Loovens, not because of JR.

:lol::oops:

It is a lost game though that has meant we are closer to the two below us than the two above us. We are on the same points as the team directly below us (Charlton Athletic) and two points from the team below them (Peterborough). We are now four points from Luton Town and eight points of P0*****uth. Either way you see it even if we win the two games in hand (and people think we somehow will even though it is by no means certain).

That game has cost us and set us back.
Gerra fuckin grip man.
Do you expect us to go through a season without losing games.

I think we will go up as champions [/B]however it will be interesting to see if/how we bounce back against Bradford. I know we have lost already at Burton but this was a bigger game with us both being at the top

Will be keen to see what side he puts out
But you posted this morning we should be in for Steve Bruce and now was the time to get rid of Jack Ross:eek::eek:

Hilarious reading some of the guff on here man.

We lost for only the second time this season - with ten men - to the best side in the division (table doesn't lie) and it's suddenly all gone tits up???

Heads need a good shake

Was there anyone at Fratton Park yesterday asking this question? No!

Are there any genuine SAFC supporters asking these questions? No!

Will we hear things like this muttered in the pubs before Bradford? Will we fuck!

This board is a joke sometimes. Giving a platform to mags, wind-up merchants and arseholes that just love a bit of attention.

Merry f***ing Christmas. Fuck off!

:lol:So you thought we were going up after beating Scunthorpe and now you’ve lost confidence and belief after losing at Portsmouth...... just about sums you up!

Where has all this come from, he was a god 2 days ago. One defeat and we talk of replacing him. Embarrassing man
Absolute embarrassments on this forum. It’s no surprise, message boards are littered with half arsed fans. We lost after a daft red card to the team who are top of the table and looked the better team for the first 45 minutes.

Hysterical fuckers
