Does that mean we can't spend as much in the transfer window. I've seen a few people mention something along those lines on here. I've no idea about that side of things tbh

Maybe one for @Grumpy Old Man

knock yourself out

Short version, aye it will restrict spending but we may not be anywhere near the 70% limit at the moment.

I'm sure the club had the vision that one day they'd be working within the 70% limit anyway. It's just come sooner than expected as this season must have been survive and then the season after push on but we've pushed already this season.

Pretty sure that's the case. Under the new rules being introduced in 2026/27, you can spend a % of your revenue on players, agent fees, wages including the manager and any profit you can get in from player sales. 85% for those not playing in Europe and 70% for those playing in Europe. I haven't looked for a while and I doubt playing in a Mickey Mouse tournament would make any difference.

But, it's probably not a good idea to spend more than 70% of your revenue on players and wages etc, taking into account amortisation, anyway.

We don't need to. We have the makings of a good team, just need a few bits of genuine quality that will make a difference.
