Given the choice?

7th and europa league, obviously.

I don't understand why anybody would prefer the weaker competition, or to not play in Europe at all.

Get stuck into it. Nobody in the future will look back and think "oh aye we had a reasonable team when we finished 10th a couple of times".

There are no weak European football teams in any of the competitions as we know to our cost. Almost all of the teams in the Conference League even would give us a hard game. And that’s not even getting me started on the Europa League teams.

Conference League doesn't offer great returns on the player we would have to shell-out for.

Everyone needs Europa, and opportunity/hope to be in the Champions League, the season after.

Aye it’s a strange mentality, whole point of the game is to win.

We supposed to deliberately not qualify so we aren’t as tired next season where we will face the same scenario?

European football will entice players to stay another year and also be more attractive to new signings. More competitive football will allows us to rotate squad so we won’t have issues like Geertruida and Isidor who are leaving / likely to leave for lack of game time.

as long as we play somebody in milan i'm not worried what level of europe we are in
but what i really like is if chelsea beat us or we beat them in either scenario it keeps the great unwashed out of europe!

Higher we go .. more money and the chance of keeping our players.
We need to keep the starting 11 IMO including Wilson, Ballard, ellborg etc.
It’s the fringe players which we need to sell.
Mayenda needs a loan probably.

We need to build on the players we have rather than just flogging them straight away.

As long as we finish above the mags
It’s a nice to have, but in reality, it doesn’t really matter.

People will remember being at the home match & celebrating the win. Those that were at St James’s will remember that match. If we get into Europe, we’ll all remember the season we got into Europe.

In 5/10 years time, nobody will talk about the 25/26 season as the season we finished above the Mags. It’ll be a laugh for a short period, but ultimately it’ll be a short term chance to take the piss. Of course we want to finish above them, but it’ll no way define the season or be a reason to celebrate at 6pm on Sunday.

Whatever happens, even if we finish below the Mags & don’t qualify for Europe, we’ve had a very successful season.

I always want what is the highest position in the league and take whatever comes with it. I would however be so very grateful to our owners for giving us this team which has been absolutely fantastic. To build on that would more than do it for me.
