define "proper" cricketers :lol:

I was in your position last year i was 21 never played a game of cricket in my life i'd never even held a proper cricket bat before...

went down for the net was a good laugh began playing for the smb the standard of opposition is pretty low mid-week i would suggest come to the net get to know them then pop down and have a watch of a game see what you think

plus if you keep yourself fit the smb would have you for fielding alone we aren't exactly in peak physical fitness :lol:

My Mag flatmate turned out for us twice for us last year and scored a slowfire 11 which helped us to our thrilling tie at the Fell. The taboo has been broken ;)

It doesn't mean it has to be repeated though, being sociable on two occasions in any 12 month period is pushing things a bit far.

Play hockey in winter to quite a high standard, so I'm reasonably fit with good hand/eye coordination etc.
