I'm not sure that squad 'works'. We can only have seventeen senior non-domestic players in the first tream squad. As it stands, we're going to be functionally limited to a first team squad of 21 players, plus U21s, for Europe as there are only two players in the world who are good enough and would meet the 'home grown' criteria - Pickford and Henderson. Who are you cutting from your squad?

Except that automatically makes us have a very very small squad and we’d be stuffed if we pick up a few injuries and basically have few senior players left. We need to maximise our numbers for Europe and that will mean having to overpay for homegrown players. Going into the season with 20 senior players would be suicidal if we have any ambition to improve

I get what you're saying, it's going to be really difficult and some lads will be left at home. But we realistically need 11 starters and 5 subs for Europe, 6 if it goes to extra time. I think it's 23 from the registered 25 for the actual match day squad. 17 of which are foreign:
We won’t drop our keeper we’ve just bought though. We’ll need 3 keepers so Moore will be one of the homegrown players. We absolutely will sign a few international players but 20 is still far too small a squad for how many games we’ll be playing next season. We inevitably will have to shell out for a couple of homegrown players

If it's 8 'Association Trained' or from British academies, 4 of which are home grown then we only need to buy 1 English player this summer.
Did not realise Jimenez was out of contract, he would actually be a good acquisition for us and would get plenty of minutes over the season with us being in Europe.
