Ideal summer window

Mayenda a future player at the highest level next two years. He might tear up the German League just saying a good loan if we bring another quality striker in
I agree on Mayenda. I really think he has solid potential and we forget how young he is. To let him leave at this stage would be a mistake so i think a loan makes the most sense. Even if the loan was not successful, he is still young and highly thought of in the Spain setup so would still command a decent fee

Nice to see really balanced reactions

Firstly, Avom is also a midfielder and I also said reinvest better, not specifically in that position.

Next, Pickford is on a reported 65k and Henderson on 100k so I reckon we could afford their wages. For Henderson maybe to see out his last year or two at his home club, and be backup to Xhaka (in the same way he generally was for Yarmorluk last season)

Shame stopping reading didn't stop you commenting

Never too early on a Friday ;)

Why can't we? We're in 4 competitions that could potentially end up being 65 to 67 games if we do well, having two high level keepers makes absolute sense
You think England number 1 keeper is on 65k a week

We should be considering overseas homegrown players to ensure we comply as we will be losing Patto, Neil, Cirkin and possibly the likes of Mundle. They'll be cheaper than prem based homegrown.

Maybe Tomori as Milan only have EL like us, and the likes of Cresswell and Archie Brown. Troy Parrot has done well but his record over here is poor and he'd be more of a gamble
I think this is something people keep failing to factor in. We need to sign some players who qualify as homegrown or keep some who we might otherwise sell.

Am I right in thinking we need more academy products as well? That formed part of my thinking for (clearly the more divisive) parts of the list

Archie Brown to replace Cirkin

John Stones to add to centre back

Geertruida back

Geoff Kondogbia to back up Granit

Ethan Nwaneri on loan with a view to buy

Mathis Abline

Sell Patto obviously

Isidor should probably go...

But I am keen to retain Mayenda

For Europe particularly, we need properly homegrown players (at the club before they were 18 effectively). Rigg is one and there’s some doubt about Mayenda. Beyond that, Matty Young would count but probably would benefit more from a loan further up the pyramid, Patto would count but needs to move on, then we have Tutierov, Finn, Trey and the seven remaining Jones octuplets.

I've seen everything fron £57k to £155k so to be honest, I dont know. I went with one of the lower end ones because they're financially not doing great, so i expect it's not at the higher end
Pickford is likely to be one of evertons top earners considering he’s England number 1 and repeatedly player of the year for Everton.
He’s been there a long time and for a while, they were throwing money about so he would definitely have benefited from that. Their financials are not great for a reason.

Yh which we csn register and not use them forest did the same

I dare say he’s one of the highest paid players given how long he’s been there he will of been on more than 65 when he signed from us

As the title states, what for you would your ideal (but still realistic) summer transfer window look like in terms of ins and outs?

Just a bit of fun, and a distraction from the thousands of random links that are already floating about

My purely speculative list

Ins:

Pickford - Top teams have 2 top class keepers. Bayern this season had Urbig come in for league games immediately after European games where Neuer would start. Good for home grown as well.

Lucumi - The link that won't go away. Looks like an absolute unit, seems much more likely to leave with Bologna missing out on Europe, and with Europa we should be in a great position.

Geertruida - Class player who seems to have slotted in really well. Plays across numerous positions and is going to be very useful for squad depth

Archie Brown - Already linked and we definitely need a left back. Looks a really tidy player and can play across quite a few positions

Henderson - i know he's 100 years old, but we've seen the importance of having a 2nd manager on the pitch this season, and the consequence of not having it. High wages, low fee, again good for home grown

Arthur Avom - Another already linked, can play in a few central positions and is already known by Regis. Seems to have a really high ceiling and is growing in value at a young age

Marmoush - The marquee signing. I watched him when he played for Frankfurt and I can say that Man City have not got out of him what I expected. He is rapid, has an eye for a goal and would immediately improve us.

Bamba Dieng - 10 in 22 last season for a mid-table Lorient side, and now out of contract. Signed by Regis before being sent out on loan by his successor.

Outs

Patto - £8m would be a great price for us, and right now is third choice. Id love to see him do well somewhere

Masuaku - We need better, never looked like he was at the required level

Adingra - Clearly a very good player, doesn't fit the way we play. A good world cup could see his value go up nicely

Diarra - Clearly very talented, and one of only two players I think would divide opinion on this list. Getting the money back we spent on him could allow us to reinvest better IMO

Mundle - Its a shame he's on here, because I really rate him, but he's not at the level we need and we could improve that area if he moved on

Mayenda - there is a possibility he turns into a world beater, and getting shot of him is a mistake, but for where we are right now it makes sense.

Hjelde, Pembele, Rusyn, Ba, Aleksic, Abdullahi all that they're not good enough
