ID checks for away tickets

It's largely the people now wanting to build their points up when previously they've not bothered coupled with fans wanting to get to the big games like City, Man United, Chelsea etc. Not saying people should just get away with giving their tickets to others but there's definitely more scrutiny of it now we're back in the PL. Nobody was arsed about this 12 months ago
To be fair, people weren't arsed 12 months ago because, if you didn't want Boro or Leeds away and just wanted to go to a handful of random away games throughout the season, you could.

I don't think anyone expects to get the biggest away games, but there's a lot of people on around 20 points who are used to going to a few who now can't get to any. And largely people understand why, it's because people with higher points are going to more games this season, meaning none are dropping near the "all season ticket" level and that's absolutely fair

But, given these people are missing out completely, they'll be more keen to make sure they're missing out to people who genuinely attend more games. It would be annoying to miss out because someone goes to the 5 biggest games and flogs their ticket to the others. Last season it didn't really matter if people were doing that, you could still choose any of about 15 away games. So supporting the ID checks now, whilst not being arsed last season where everyone could go, makes sense

Yep, agreed. I understand why it's highlighted more just as I say, it's a shame the demand wasn't so high and the ground wasn't so full last season. I know every club has it's share of PL supporters when things are good but you know, it is what it is.

Rare sensible and balanced post on this topic.👏

Evening all. Has anyone ever had a point removed when they attended the game? Son has had his Fulham point removed even tho we scanned it in and attended the game. Have asked on AskSAFC but any advice would be appreciated 👍🏼 Thanksi

I did mate,
They took my daughters point off her due to “returned ticket”.We both attended and scanned.
I emailed them and even sent a photo of the ticket as it wasn’t returned and they apologised and gave her the point back.

Out of curiosity because of this post I've just had a look and they've done the same to my youngest lad for the Fulham game, he's on 65 but should be 66, let me know how you get on please

Fulham away was over 3 months ago
Aye, just noticed it. Thought he was on more and when looking through found that the point had been taken off due to ticket returned. No idea when the point was removed.

Will do, cheers. No idea if we kept the tickets but useful to know. Will have a look.

I very much doubt I've still got the ticket tbh but do have many photos of us and ironically my son was stood in between my self and the lass at safc's dad as we were talking to him, known him for years a great bloke and one of the best sunlun fans I know
