ID checks for away tickets

To be honest, and given the clubs drive to be carbon neutral, dragging thousands of fans 300 miles to watch the match makes no sense at all.

If the club are serious about green credentials and making a difference environmentally, they need to be allocating away tickets based on fans living closest to the ground in question.

Would also mean the away end hasn’t been up since 4.00am and would boost the enthusiasm, energy and support.
That’s absolutely dreadful bait. Shocking stuff

Yeah mate good one ha ha ha ha ha

Wanker

We arrived at 2.35 and took less than a minute to get in.

Arrived at anfield earlier in the season, similar size away end , got to the away turnstiles 25 mins before kick off and missed the first 5 mins of the game.

How can they be so different?
Exactly the same experience as you. Anfield was a disgrace. If there was one place you wouldn’t expect to be kettled into a series of holding pens and crushed up tight, it would be 100 yards away from the Hillsborough memorial. Defied belief really.

Totally agree I went to speak to some representatives from Sunderland who were inside the ground near the turnstiles and they weren’t in the slightest bit interested.

Unzip your jacket mate
Can I ask why as I’ve already been searched once
We are doing it to everyone
Well clearly not given you haven’t done it to the person next to me

Poor woman in front of me had her bag searched 3 times, twice at the two holding points and once right in front of the turnstiles….absolute joke.

The clubs “Ready Eco” initiative is aiming to be carbon neutral by 2040.

A big step towards this would be to stop sanctioning the movement of thousands of fans across the country when they could easily fill away ends with lads fans living locally to the away grounds.

A lot of the high pointers on here spend most of their
time moaning about much money it costs them in travel to attend away games away.

Security teams at the respective clubs are doing risk assessments and coming up with wildly inconsistent procedures to deal with exactly the same situations

If we did that at work on construction sites we'd be shot with shit. There are consistent safe systems that are industry standards in the vast majority of work places and public areas , yet premier league football grounds appear to just make it up as they go along, some of them behaving like it's the first ever time they've hosted a football game

Anfield has been home to Liverpool games for over 100 years, thousands of games , yet when we turned up it appeared like they were doing it for the first ever time

Yesterday at arsenal = smooth, straight in and helpful

Hopefully sunderland fans contribute more pollution than any other club. Would make me proud

Have another drink sir.

Home games wife’s bag always gets checked so she now keeps flares and grenades in her pockets as no one ever checks them, he also told her just to carry the bag checked band, he would have had to take his gloves off to take the sticker part off and it was too cold for that.

Yesteday, I was getting patted down, he said do you have anything in your pockets you shouldn’t have, yes mate I probably should own up to the candlestick, led pipe and spanner.

What is the point?

Nearly as poor bait as when you told us you'd seen emails about Dell buying the club.

Does this mean any fans living more than say 40 miles from the SoL shouldn't get home game tickets either?
