ID checks for away tickets

Are we expecting ID checks to be taking place without the ‘heads up’ emails that were sent for Man C and Brighton?
Not sure tbh. I was told they were doing them at every away game. They may have added the note about random spot checks to the email they sent out the other day “away ticket download information” to replace the email people had been sent prior to recent games.

We will see. Doesn’t bother me from one point of view as it’s always me using my ticket. But would be good to know if you’ve been selected purely so you can plan to get there earlier to sort out the admin

The email telling me I'd been picked at Brighton arrived after I was already there.

Im not down Spurs. But am down Everton and leaving on Friday afternoon.
No ID will be taken as is my right. So if I do get an email and a bank card isn't acceptable.

Well have a problem..... 😁
Just tak ID mate , not that big of an issue
Checking that people are sitting in the right seat seems over the top like. There's an easy way to tell if someone is coming in on a concession ticket and that's when they scan it upon entry to the ground. Staff that correctly and there's no issue.

In my position, I sit with a couple friends and their family. A few years ago a seat came up to the left of my mate, at the end of our group, so I bought it for my son. He doesn't sit there next to a random and my mate, him and my mate swapped seats. Can't really be arsed explaining that to the stewards though. We have a group of seats, we all have the right age range, they can verify that at the turnstiles
Same with us , the youngen seats few eyes down abs sits next to us , like you say if they want to police it wouldn’t take much

This is spot on, not arsed about the check itself but letting people know in advance is helpful to make sure you don’t miss any of the game
Same here, not bothered about being checked but would like to know the night before so we can plan the day and not miss any of the game.

We prefer to stay in the boozers later and plan to get to most grounds about 30 mins before the game.

Collecting duplicates in the past normally means we have to get to the ground earlier than we want, I'd imagine these checks being the same.

I've now squeezed my driving licence between my phone cover and phone because I no longer take my wallet so ID is not an issue.

No issues with the checks, just streamline the process.

They can fuck off with that shite like.

I don't mind going to ticket office with ID but at least tell me in advance so I can go direct there.

The ticket office at Brighton was absolutely miles away from the away turnstiles and I walked past it on my way, only to have to walk all the way back , then back again to the the turnstiles .. it's becoming a piss take if they aren't going to give us a heads up at least on the morning of the game
