ID checks for away tickets

Nah, cos with it being e-tickets those exiles in the local area to the match will still happily risk it, as not far to travel home if can’t get in, and if they do get a ticket ID checked will hope to pick up another non-ID checked ticket on the day.
Not sure that’s strictly true tbh.

I’m 20 miles from The Emirates as an example but that would still be over 3 hours round trip on public transport or 2+ hours driving (with congestion charge and parking to add).

Not sure I’d risk 3.5 hours of my weekend plus say £70/£80 with the potential of not getting in.

End of the day the only people who should be worried about ID checks are those who buy and sell on

My only criticism is that the communication needs to be improved and make everyone aware they could be subject to ID checks and also confirm what ID will be acceptable.

For example, if a picture of a passport or driving licence on a phone is acceptable then no one should have any issue given that you have your ticket on there anyway.

People could be on 19 points and not getting tickets. If they have they’ve certainly put a decent stint in.

Stop having a go at fellow dedicated fans!
But it's ok for them to have a go at us? My point is they generally have themselves to blame. The system/process has been in place for a long time. Nothing has changed other than our league position

They need to make the process on the day a lot quicker. Took me 25 minutes to get sorted and missed the first 10 minutes. None of the stewards had a clue what to do or how to advise me , they just kept scanning it over and over again and scratching their heads

They need to have someone on the turnstile who can check your ID and activate your ticket immediately

Also need a system that allows us to pass on spare tickets on the day

They can’t stipulate what ID is accepted as he club has ticket requirements for ID. Some clubs accept non photo ID, others require photo ID.

I personally had ID checks on a ticket as did others who were there doing it at the same time. No over exaggeration needed, just plain facts.

Ok. So a couple of people out of 3,000 is an over exaggeration
The only photo ID I have is a passport, be mental having to carry that to get into a football game. Drivers licence is old paper version only.

I only take my passport on holiday with me.
My driving licence remains at home.

Impressive. Can’t be many like that.

Haven’t changed address in 25 years and no points in that time!

Still, you’ll be forced into a photo card at 70. 😉

Yeah, been living at this same address for over 30 years. Last speeding was 2012 (ferryboat lane) and was just the naughty boy course at that place next to the BIC off the 1231.

So what happens if you buy a ticket, genuinely can't attend, don't pass your ticket to anyone else, but get selected for an ID checked ticket pick up and obviously don't show up. Any blow-back?

But you said there weren't any at Forest, then say it's over exaggeration when told there were when you still don't know how many there were.

You still haven't confirmed how you post on here without an email address as that's a prerequisite of signing up.

I don't need to confirm anything to you fella :)

Well there's three or four of us on this thread alone..

Did anyone else who got selected not get an email ? I've double triple checked and I've deffo not had an email before yesterdays game

If I did, I would have went straight to ticket office off the train
I've checked so many times I've lost count and no notification at all, and I've absolutely over thought it all today way too much n too long, I make no secret of how important following lads is to me make sure family have all they want then going to match is all I work for so to have anxiety ridden periods like yesterday putting a downer on things I can dee without

You get picked again for the next match. That's what happened to me anyway.

As has been mentioned on here, I think RAWA need a meeting with the club as soon as possible to clarify exactly what is going on, I along with others often make a weekend of away days and I don't have any form of photo ID with me usually.
