ID checks for away tickets


Looks like that Canadian fella was at Anfield too.

He probably spends more time in the air than he does in either England or across the pond, what with him no doubt having a season ticket and 20+ points minimum...

I honestly just explained this to my 6 year old and he grasped it so it’s not me.

As I’ve said a number of times a match going to general sale does not mean that everyone who wants a ticket gets one.

If an away end fails to sell out after general sale, that indicates that anyone who wants a point can get one.

So your question is, how many matches last season went to general sale and didn’t sell out?

I think (though I may have missed a couple), zero.

Now, stop banging on about “post 477” as
If you’ve said something bright or incisive because it has been answered.

What you fail to understand, is we appear to be on the same side- we both want fans attending away games to receive a loyalty point.

For the record and without even looking, Cardiff 1st game of the season didn’t sellout at all.

On train back. I was in Block 313 Row14. Weirdly there was a number of empty seats around that area. Even more weird was the bloke next to me who made no noise at all from arriving to the final whistle. He was joined by the two mutes to his right (related to him I think) and the father and daughter to my left who seemed to be participating in a sponsored silence!!! Now I’m 60 so not the zaniest of fans but I do like a good shout and sing at the match, especially away from home. Our away following gradually atrophied during our last stay in the Premier League. I worry that the same could happen again if the younger element can’t get tickets. Anyway well done to everyone who belted out the full range of anti-scum songs when Sadiki and Xhaka went off. It got me in the mood for next week 😀. FTM

It’s an interesting point that mind because if they do start asking for ID then the young lads won’t have a chance of building points up and we could possibly lose generations which will be on the away ends for the next 30 year

That would be a decent idea, have to look after the future, we all started somewhere , mine being Stoke City away for £2
