ID checks for away tickets

Basically a cease and desist. They're really after people selling on. They won't know who they sold to, so their buyer won't know anything until they rock up at the turnstile and the ticket doesn't work
So the buyer doesn’t get in

But does the seller then get banned as well or what

Feel for those who will be genuinely effected or do it for genuine reasons but the meltdowns that happens across social media when the club do these things...e.g clamp down on Adults using kids tickets, kids tickets bought and never used and now tickets bought but used by someone else tells that there's a problem.

Potentially, as the ticket will be traceable to the original purchaser.
You’d think the club would have to make an announcement in advance though that if you’re selected and it is proven you had passed your ticket on the punishment is X game ban or whatever they decide

Isn’t it in the T&Cs of the ticket sale?

It's a difficult one when away tickets are impossible to come by, through any other means. I think NUFC do the same. That's not meant to detract from those who put the hard yards in for the likes of Cardiff and Norwich away.

I've been a beneficiary of Wolves STHs selling their away tickets for Newcastle/Sunderland on to me for face value, but I know that means they are then stopping someone else getting a ticket for the likes of Old Trafford or Anfield even though they've not been up to the North East themselves. Still, not like that'll be a problem beyond this season for us.

You wouldn’t get an instant ban mate but you’d go on a naughty list
I’ve never passed a ticket on since I had the shits for Sheff United away about 3 years ago so doesn’t affect me but just curious how the club would police this. Feels a bit iffy if essentially trapping your own fans

Might be mate tbf although I assume the “punishment” isn’t listed anywhere (eg get caught and it’s a 5 game ban or whatever it is)
