Has signed with Newcastle CC for the rest of the season.
 

Jesus! What went wrong? he could have been such an important player for us. Things can't be right in the camp.
 
As I said about 5 weeks ago, he won't be considered for the 1 day stuff. Obviously that now appears to be the 4 day stuff as well.

Some people saying he's been injured, know nowt

Said a while back, he won't be considered for any form of 1 day cricket for Durham 1st XI. Seems that is now the case with the 4 day first XI team.

As the thread says, he's just signed for Newcastle CC and he's now doing some umpiring. Heard he wasn't allowed to sign for Washington the other week but not sure how true that is.

Things have been said earlier in the season, that's all I'm saying.

But is there any cricketing reason behind it or has he pissed someone off?. He's too good to be left out of a struggling side no matter how fat he usually is.

He told us a cricketing reason was made in Dubai at the start of the season.
 
Seems to be a few stories going around about Ian at the NEPL game I was at today. Got talking to some well connected people.

If the rumours are to be believed there seems to be more than just cricketing matters for him to attend to ATM.

It'll be interesting too see if plays for DCCC again.
 
I think his fitness (or lack of) is a big factor but there's a big non-cricketing reason involved too I think. Can't say on here what it is but I'm surprised heads haven't rolled yet.
