I have been watering plants for a few weeks during the recent dry and warm spell but they still looked yellow and a bit rough.

It’s rained for a bit and they perk up!

How does that work then? A greater surface area is receiving rain? The leaves are being soaked too?

Your not watering enough. Are you using tap water?

Mainly yes as the water butt emptied ages ago.

Mainly yes as the water butt emptied ages ago.

It’s not ideal like same with me. But I fill the butt (water that is not my ass hole) with tap water once a week and let it stand over night then use that to water for rest of the week. The chlorine and other chemicals dissipate iirc.

I was going to organise all of my dried flowers, then I realised I had more pressing problems to deal with.
