Had a very good game.
However struggles against any sort of quality.
Fair play though. Best game for a very long time.

Started the game with the obvious issue of not being comfortable going down the line on his left foot but after that he was rock solid.

Better at left back than right back because at right back he feels the urge to bomb on and then can't recover quick enough when we lose it up the field. At left back, he doesnt feel the same urge.
Well, most of that tonight was probably how he was told to play. Nobody was being as aggressive with forward runs as they generally are. Clearly the game plan tonight was to keep it compact and not risk giving Leeds easy chances.

He nearly always plays well at full back. He's not and never will be a competent PL midfielder.

He gets as much stick as anyone and he is actually incredibly consistent. Never shirks, never hides, never injured, smart enough to play half the positions on the pitch, combines well with others, strikes the ball about as clean as anyone in our side. Easy to forget how young he is given he's played pretty much every game for the past four years or so. 163 appearances - transfermarkt has his value at 18m - . Sure, he's never going to be a winger, but the fact that the coaches feel confident enough in him to play him anywhere along either side of the pitch says as much about him and his quality as it does about the lack of maturity/reliability of our other wide options.
I just had a look at Transfermarkt and since Boxing Day 2022 there’s only been 2 league games he hasn’t featured in (I assume both were suspensions).

He's a good player, a competent premiership one, that carry on about him was very silly.
this, embarrassing tbh
