Hume Hybrid Role


It will work against some teams, but has the potential for a battering against others. I wouldn't play it against arsenal for instance.

Well mukiele didn’t play centre back and I was responding to a poster who labelled them sloppy directly. Also if you think alderete was playing simple balls unchallenged tonight you were watching a different game

You can compare him to anyone in the squad. He’ll still come out bottom. Both over the season and in most matches, bar maybe the strikers

If you want to compare him to reinildo (92%) as a full back it’s worse than the comparison I made. Against the midfield 3 in the mos congested area of the pitch (85%, 93%, 89%) it still doesn’t help his case.

He might be playing in a position where it’s harder to keep possession but that just proves my point. He’s not good enough at it.

Trai has been superb this season the concern is where he was being played. He isnt a centre mid and we got away with him essentially playing as right winger today
 
Buzzing we won today. I think 36 points is enough now to avoid relegation so Regis can play Hume anywhere he likes.
I still think Geertruida is the better option in midfield, but what do I knar.
 
Good game tonight. I know he came in field quite a bit to give Mukiele the space to provide the width, but tonight he was a lot closer to his full back instead of leaving him isolated quite often like he did against West Ham.

Especially loved his control of that high ball that led to the Brobbey chance mind. Was brilliantly done.
 
He’s been pants for the last couple of games but was great tonight and link well with Nordi

He did well against Palace there as well. He's certainly not a long term solution but he's been ok

Agreed . There was people saying even if we win they wouldnt accept it before the game. Madness

I think he'll switch between this and dropping Hume and sticking Gertruida in the middle. Humes not our best player , hes not even our best right back. But hes been outstanding value for his cost and and is a steady prem player now
 
Hume was great tonight and he has the heart of a lion. But its a strange role. He plays wide of Mukiele but it is Mukiele who tends to overlap and get great crosses in. Its strange but it works. Last week he was pushed further inside into a centrail midfield position and he struggled badly.
