6 points feels huge. First time it's got that level. People mention a future run of more favourable games,we need to get something in the next 3 or we could be all but down. It's not just that we're 2 wins adrift, we're only that if the teams around us lose both of those games. The reality is we're staring down the barrel and would I suggest need 20 more points to have a sniff of stopping up. In 12 games that will take some doing!
After taking a brief glimpse of the table i would definitely think that we will be playing 3rd division football next season. These players should be ashamed of themseves

Barnsley will win Saturday though

That's a matter of opinion but I'd get backing them then, 9/4 is a canny price for something you are so certain about.

I'd be more confident on Norwich who are unbeaten in 6 and just about still have playoff hopes and have better players. It's far too early (like Millwall in our case) for those midtable sides to be 'on the beach'.

Reading have to be included in the relegation candidates now. They have a tricky run in with only Bolton and Sunderland to play of the bottom 6

Every predictor I've done has resulted in 44 points being the highest points total a team gets relegated on, I've also had teams surviving on 42. I think 43 will be the magic number. So 5 wins and 1 draw or 4 wins and 4 draws from the remaining 12 games. Highly unlikely we will do it, we need at least 4 points from the next 4 games, and then capitalise on the games on which we could very well be playing teams 'on the beach' by then ie. Sheff Wed, Leeds, Norwich and Wolves. Not to mention the potential 6 pointers against Reading and Burton, I've always thought Reading would be comfortably safe but for the first time I now think they are in deep trouble.

We could have done with the Millwall and QPR games being a couple of weeks later. I often adopt the 'on the beach' idea, historically in this league it happens often. Hard for bang midtable sides to be motivated.
