Predicted same, but that was before Xhaka's injury. If we get back to pre-AFCON form we ought to finish in the 53-55pt range. Forest and Spurs will be highly motivated due to their relegation concerns, but both are at home. Villa and ManU will be challenging (Villa away is the only real concern). Most of the other games are against teams within a few points of us.

I think that because our squad is young (and driven by Captain Xhaka) there won't be the normal cynical "on the beach" attitude seen in other squads that are safe early. So I reckon 55 is definitely achievable.

who would of thought in May last year we would of hit 40 points at the start of March? Absolutely tremendous achievement by the players and coaching staff

40 + 27 = 67.
 
As bad as we've been away the ones we've got left bar the mags aren't actually that bad imo. Villa falling off a cliff with all their injuries, Wolves are Wolves albeit improved and Everton haven't been great at their new gaff, and obviously won there in the cup.

It will cos last year the three promoted teams were cannon fodder for every other team, so the totals were higher across the board. Us and a lesser extent Leeds have upset that applecart.
