I live part time in Spain so I have joined the Commodores

I go once... twice... three times a season

8 hour round trip and 200 quid or thereabouts once diesel, tickets, food and merchandise for the boy is added up so not as often as I’d like. 6-10 games roughly.

As many home games as possible, miss a few midweek games as we are in Manchester so it’s a 5 or so hour round trip and the lad has school so that can make getting to a midweek game on time a challenge (given the M62 rush hour traffic as well)
Building up away points so have managed around 5 away games this season, and the Mags.

How do you get tickets for so many away games? Do you have a season ticket and just not use it?

Yeah - basically treat it like a tax I have to pay for access to the “better” away games.

Fair enough - season ticket is a fraction of the money spent travelling to umpteen away games.

Was a season ticket holder for almost 20 years but get to about 10-12 at best a season these days, and that includes probably one or two aways.

This season I will of managed to catch 43/46 of our league games. Gutted I wasnt able to do all of them. I have been very lucky that work has been quite flexible, however, due to a T**T of a manager I missed the Mags game

Had season tickets for me, wife and two kids for 7 seasons, first under Reid then under Keane. 250 miles each way from Gloucester. Went to most away games as they were closer!

Retired now and home matches are special occasions when we visit the NE. Away game tickets difficult to come by for non-season ticket holders.

Not sure whether I could face driving 500 miles in a day any more and dread to think how much the petrol would cost!

Kids are now in their mid 30s

Some of the posts I’m reading on here put my attendance at games embarrassing .

Some of the lengths people go to to attend home games is astonishing.

I have a season ticket and attended 8 home games this season.

Probably the right time to jack it in for me.
