I think it was similar to Russia where they claimed to have developed one but don't have the same stringent checks etc to go through so started innoculations.

Assume not many people trust what they say these days.
Would you have a Chinese vaccine , plus can’t see Mr Trump allowing China to be a market leader worldwide in vaccines.

They have three vaccines.

But it's mostly poorer countries signing up to them as the west don't really need it.
