Obviously good news to see the first century, nearly two, of the season out of the way, ton for smith, 96 for diva and 60 for stokes is great.

Further good news in the performances of some of the younger lads today, against a yorkshire 2nds featuring pyrah, keaton jennings [the saffa u19 captain] scored 207* from 239 balls and mark wood 73* off 79. muchall added a 60 odd.

i know its only the seconds but that shows tremendous potential there from the two young lads, im sure we will see plenty of wood this season, perhaps jennings anarl will make his debut this year

I'm pretty sure Richardson has got a couple of centuries for the 2nd this season too. Although I feel if they were going to include any 2nd team batsmen this season they would have done it by now.

richardson is a keeper and his first class avergae is very low still but he will get the odd chance as a batsman in some one day games this year i think.

wood is an allrounder and made his debut in one day matches last year, we will see more of him this year im sure.

jennings is still very young but his time will come, hopefully ben raine too

Think the lads won inside 2 days, last I heard Yorkshire were 9 down, following-on, nowhere near our score...... So what a win! We've managed to score 460 or so???! While they've been skittled twice. Might have batted on a featherbed for our innings and then a cattle field for theirs

21.23 average from 9 innings with a SR of 52.81

aye, but considering his first two innings were a 70 and a 60 not out or similar thats quite a lean spell.

not knocking the lad, i think he has tremendous promise, i didnt bother mentioning him in the OP as i have already stated on previous threads i think he may well get his turn this year abit more
