Honeyman to Hull?

I could give you a million examples of awful footballers who have moved up a level. It means fuck all. He will just be shit at a higher level

You really are a fan of our home grown players eh?

Perhaps you'd like a nice Prem team with a Saudi billionaire to buy some 'class' players for your entertainment.

It's too much effort to get behind one of our own.

Having an opinion on a message board and getting behind him at the mstch are two different things.

Haway man

I'm just depressed, we are turning into a 'buy new players every season' and throw them together, type of club.

I think we should be more than that, there should be a link to the local community through players in the team.

Otherwise it's just a pissing contest of who has the most money...

Agreed, that's my view..

Playing off the striker he was never really going to score enough goals. Would have liked to have seen more of him at CM but it's probably a move that suits us. Imagine he's probably on an above average wage for league one.

This for me is the crux of the problem. He doesn’t actually have a position in a standard system. Maybe he’d fit well into Luton’s diamond formation, but across the football standards of 4231, 352, 442 I don’t see how you can really utilise the lad. I do think that Ross probably did him a disservice by utilising his energy poorly, but still not sure what he actually does or offers. Think it’s best all round that we move on though and hopefully mcnulty/embleton/maguire make a better fist of the link role than honeyman did

:lol: Are you suggesting that would be a bad thing?

I'm happy for local youth prospects to get a chance but you can't be sentimental in football, if a player isn't good enough you need to get rid, regardless of where they came from.
