Home matches empty seats

To be clear. Leeds' rule is stick it on their resale platform counts as "attending". If everyone is aware of that rule, I don't see why people wouldn't do that if they can't attend.

The clubs up surely?

Season ticket per game is £30 (or less for some tickets), they can resell it for £40-50 for a one off ticket.

If anything they'd love season ticket holders to not bother to turn up, as long as they're reselling them.
Oh yeah, I overlooked the profit from the difference.

I might be wrong, but dont we 'turn on' resale at certain times?
So you can't just stick it in resale if you know you cant attend - you only can when the club/ticket office decide they're allowing resales?

Yeah sure, but we also don’t have this rule in place. As ever with our ticket office, they’re implementing things half arsed right now.

if they want to start policing when people use their ticket (because the argument is that demand is there for every PL game) you have to allow people to put their ticket up for every game.

Surely people are more likely to return their ticket for resale if they can do it any time rather than checking to see if there is a window. They might well feel inclined not to bother, if they have to keep checking if the window for resale is open. Helps people in the general sale queue too.
It takes 2 mins and is simple

The ground was empty at Burnley vs City ..hundreds of empty seats .i know they had very little chance but it was the best team in the land coming to play not an already relegated side ...

So I can’t sell it to a friend so the person I go with knows the person I’ve sold it to?

For Leeds? I think you can transfer it to someone as long as they have a membership and that counts as you attending too.

Correct. 80% attendance required over season.

Attendance is counted as:

Attending in person

Forwarding to another member on your family and friends list

Listing it for resale on clubs ticket exchange

Fail to do any of these for more than 4 Prem home games you lose your right to renew ST

Is listing for resale allowed at any time (once that match is on sale)? Or just at certain slots when club opens it?

Normally you can list tickets on exchange approximately 7 days before home game and up until 90 mins before kick off. The exchange opens once member sale and a further member ballot has completed.

Even though home games have been selling out, there's always empty seats dotted about. You don't see that at Od Trafford, Elland road, the City Ground etc.

Anybody think the club will introduce a scheme to prevent this i.e ST holders have to attend a certain number of games? Brentford and Arsenal operate this system
Try specsavers and an open mind

Has the fanbase accepted this rule on the whole?

Had it for 2 seasons now. The fact there is no limit on number of games you can transfer tickets to members who are family and friends or resell through ticket exchange means there is always an option for season ticket holders to pass on a ticket, means fans have realised the 80% attendance rule is flexible and not just counted on their own physical attendance.

And are there ever empty seats at Elland road when the match is classed as sold out as a result?

There is something odd going on.

Either our ticketing site is glitched meaning a lot of empty seats arent available and go unsold even for sellouts (we have seen posters here mention seats near them are never for sale but never have anyone in)

Or clever dicks are buying season tickets then simply not going then using feable excuses (and boasting about it in some cases)

It looks poor when you look back on TV and the club HAVE to address it esp if we manage to kick on next season. N
You do see it at other grounds.
Not for sellouts
Happens at every ground in the country.
Doesnt happen at Old Trafford SJP chelsea Liverpool Arsenal
Hope this helps b
I've earned and paid my way for long enough.
Entitlement
