Home matches empty seats

Even though home games have been selling out, there's always empty seats dotted about. You don't see that at Od Trafford, Elland road, the City Ground etc.

Anybody think the club will introduce a scheme to prevent this i.e ST holders have to attend a certain number of games? Brentford and Arsenal operate this system
The club dont even bother to tell people when they can resell their tickets and when people can by resale tickets.

I think they should crawl before they can walk.

People would maybe be keener to put their ticket up for resale if they had any confidence in the ticket office not making a total balls up of it.

They'd probably end up not being able to get to the next or something. And I speak as a former long term season ticket holder who renewed bit still had my seat sold to a third party by some numpty in said ticket office.
That’s awful, sorry to hear that.

I can only speak from personal experience but I had to do resell twice this season and both times I just logged in, it was one easy click, it sold pretty much immediately, then the value of the ticket came off the price of next year’s ST - can’t say fairer than that. If someone is missing games and doesn’t know they can resell or how to do it, the Club should reach out and help them before taking their ticket, but eventually you have to draw the line somewhere.

It was several years ago but not great when I get a phone call out of the blue apologising for selling my seat!

To say I gave them a flea in their ear would be undersatating things a little. They said they would ask if the new person wouldn't mind swapping 😂 Queue derision and more fuming by me!

Yeah in the computer age it should be straight forward but people have been fucked around left, right and centre by the ticket office so you can understand people thinking fuck it, I'd rather lose the cash.

Of course you do. Man City especially. Elland Road is a much more compact ground with a lot more standing that disguises the empty seats.

I’m front row of West Stand, and it’s either a dozen empty seats together, or different faces each game when they are occupied. Baffling?!?!
