Home matches empty seats

Even though home games have been selling out, there's always empty seats dotted about. You don't see that at Od Trafford, Elland road, the City Ground etc.

Anybody think the club will introduce a scheme to prevent this i.e ST holders have to attend a certain number of games? Brentford and Arsenal operate this system
 

Leeds do it as well.

I think you’re allowed to pass it on three times a season max but if the seat isn’t used at all then there are questions asked.

We’ll undoubtedly be doing this soon. Those who don’t take their kids to midweek games might find sanctions coming their way if it happens more than a few times.

Surely people are more likely to return their ticket for resale if they can do it any time rather than checking to see if there is a window. They might well feel inclined not to bother, if they have to keep checking if the window for resale is open. Helps people in the general sale queue too.
 
Looks crap and no excuse with the resale option as it’s win-win. If people aren’t reselling and they’re missing games the Club should contact them to make sure they understand how to resell the ticket and if they keep not turning up take it off them as it’s senseless and we’re trying to create an atmosphere of support.
 
People would maybe be keener to put their ticket up for resale if they had any confidence in the ticket office not making a total balls up of it.

They'd probably end up not being able to get in the next game or something. And I speak as a former long term season ticket holder who renewed bit still had my seat sold to a third party by some numpty in said ticket office.
