I've been thinking for ages about putting in a squat rack so I can do the stronglifts programme at home.

Space is an issue so I've looked at the half height squat racks like this one
Marcy SR50 Squat Rack Stand https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00649ATN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_kAG0BbTGZGVRW

I have got outside space but I'm not sure working outside on muscles in the cold even for such a short time is a good idea.

So any advice on space saving home gym set ups for squats and such is welcome.
I have ages to sort this out as my core has been demolished and I need to do a few months floor work building that up again first anyway.

Think your link might be broken? But get a stand that will function as both a squat rack and a bench rack.

Horse matting for deadlifts.

Sorted.

Weight (haha) until after new year? Probably about March.

All of the fatties will be selling off their gym equipment.
Good shout

That work?
I reckon that will work with a bench etc

Agree with the point above about horse matting for deadlifts.

I bought this:

Squat And Dip Rack | Adjustable | Hardcastle Bodybuilding

The spotter bars mean you don't need a spotter and they are adjustable depending on your height. You can also drop the height of the uprights and it works for benching too - and the spotter bars kick in for that too. I'd really recommend it.

Hope this helps.

The classics are just that because they work. IMHO knee-tremblers, preferably round the back of the Tavern, or another pub/club, work the core and offer a good substitute for squats.
