Home European Attendances

And you have to realise why.

We’ve never taken the cups seriously in all my lifetime.

We’ve been either fighting relegation or going for promotion.

We’ve never had a cup scheme and there’s never been any chance of going to Wembley so there’s no jeopardy of missing out.

We’ve put our shit teams constantly.

The mags absolutely nailed it, taking it seriously, fear of missing out and a cup scheme.
We did have a cup scheme.

I live overseas so don't bother with midweek cup games, but will make the effort for Europe - not least because it's getting harder and harder to get league game tickets.

The novelty factor will alone will fill the stadium I reckon.

Those days when it was easy to get tickets for home and away games - and even Wembley - seem a long time ago.

i've compiled a list of the teams that have qualified so far and people i know in each city.
Already reaching out to see if they have 'contacts'

I think most clubs will give us very healthy allocations considering how well we travel, but as many have said they will be very hard to get hold of if you don't have a bucket full of points

I’m bang up for it, but it’ll be a logistical push with it being a midweek trip from Edinburgh and my boys still at school.

Will need to pick up the boys direct from school, drive straight to the match and then have an overnight at a hotel before getting them back to school first thing the next day. Managed it for the Coventry play off game last season, but that was a nice day in May. Hope our first one is early on in the season or in the school holidays.

Surely the club will bring back the cup direct debit scheme and we can sit in our own seat. I hope they are sensible with the ticket prices aswell.

As a season ticket holder from London I don’t do many home games but do most aways.

I’ll 100% be prioritising all Europa games, and doing less Prem / domestic cup games.

It’s been over 50 years since we’ve been there and without being negative, it could be decades before it happens again! Madness if people choose to not do the games. Obviously midweek factor and costs will come into play for a fair few people.

Hopefully they do sensible ticket prices of say £30, with potentially all 4 group games as a £100 bundle or something like that.

FFS it’s a working class area during a cost of living crisis mate.

Average of £50. There will be seats in hospitality costing hundreds. How much would you expect to pay for four home Europa league games? They might be Milan, Leverkusen, Marseille and Benfica. Surely no-one would expect to get those four for £100 in total. If we don’t maximise revenues we don’t compete.

£35 is more than enough for a football ticket.

Think it’ll be a scramble for any non ST holder to get a ticket for these, no matter what team it is we play.
It might not happen again for a long time.

It’s idealistic but I’d prefer we kept ticket prices normal and had £3m less to spend on transfers each year.

Also we could have some glamour ties, but if we get a home game against the Portuguese cup winners from the second division, it may be harder to flog £50 tickets.

I think they'll all be in pot A, so we'll only get one of those at home and one away.

Pricing could be interesting. Personally I’d like to see the club maximise match day revenue. If we could sell out all four home games averaging £50 a ticket it would bring in around £10m in revenue. Add prize money and tv money and the group stages alone could generate £20m plus.
Speak for yourself pal 😂 that’s a lot of money for folk. Factor in taking kids etc.

Needs pricing properly and sensibly to fill the ground.

I think there might be about 500 out of 38000 season ticket holders for each game that might not be able to make it, but very few who will actively not go.

Probably about 5.5k tickets to be sold for non season ticket holders for each game. Sold out within an hour.

I wonder what the threshold will be for buying a ticket. Possibly 4 games last season?
We will sell them out no bother, I don’t think people on here get the feeling around the city etc atm. I know I will be asked to get at least three tickets for European games. My cousin still hasn’t been able to get season cards for him and his two kids there’s six extra tickets for those games just from me. There will be huge demand.

Selfishly praying we get Salzburg away as my company has a ST there (and I have no end of places to stay).

And I can be the tour guide around its finest hostelries. Fans' challenge? To drink one of the beer halls run by two breweries – and the (run by monks!) – totally dry.

Turkeys voting for Christmas. How about players earning 5% less.
