Someone else would have got him first mateSupposedly the propsed loan is off as Klopp wants to now keep him for their Carabao Cup run.

So much for our special relationship with Liverpool.
Informative and non partisan. Thank you.As a Liverpool fan, outside this board I've never heard this being a thing in real life.
In generally Klopp doesn't like loans. His on the record attitude is that if Liverpool's coaching can't improve players more than another club's, particularly one with fewer resources, it's not fit for purpose. In general Liverpool players go on loan less than at comparable clubs, and when they do, they often go to clubs/coaches known to them. Right now Liverpool have 8 players on loan, very few for a prem side.
Karius is sort of on loan - sold with an obligation to buy in Turkey so not really relevant.
Ojo is at Rangers with Steven Gerrard, ex-academy coach.
Ryan Kent was at Rangers and would be there now and might be again if Rangers can find the money by the window's end.
Ejara was at Rangers until he decided he didn't like Scotland and a panic move to Reading was arranged. (notably was actually at Sunderland)
Ben Woodburn is playing for Karl Robinson, a well regarded former ex-Liverpool academy coach, at Oxford.
Harry Wilson is on loan at Bournmouth. Eddie Howe started his coaching career working for Liverpool's DoF Michael Edwards. See also Dom Solanke, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Smith, Jordan Ibe.
Taiwo Awoniyi can't get a work permit so is at Mainz where Klopp spent 18 years.
Marko Grujic is also in Germany at Hertha Berlin.
