Opposition strikers, he could do a lot worse than watching replays of that lad QPR brought on in the 2nd half.

Yes, if he’s that shit on the ball he just needs to concentrate on getting on the end of things in the box. Some of the best strikers out there only touch the ball a handful of times each game.

i really wanted the lad to do well and hoped he'd come good eventually.
that passage of play yesterday when all he had to do was to knock it past the defenders and run after it, either creating a chance for himself or drawing a foul in the box and ended up just losing the ball made my mind up there's no/very little hope with him.
 
There’s a few in this thread said that Hemir wouldn’t get a game for an amateur team like Seaham for example.

I genuinely think this is true and that equally, we could sign any journeyman semi-pro centre forward bruiser from non-league who would do a better job for us.

Hemir shouldn’t be anywhere near our team and the fact that he is illustrates perfectly why the current owners are not fit to be here
 
When he won back possession 35-40 yards from goal and just had to run at the keeper, either creating a shooting chance or would get fouled by the last man was his chance.

Instead he literally walked towards the goal allowing Colback (I think?) to come back and tackle him. Horrendous lack of pace, you’d think Hemir is 50 years old from that.

The lad hasn’t got a clue, doesn’t know where, when to run, gets the ball and has no idea what he is going to do.

He’s having an impact on the team…..One point yesterday we had the ball and he actually made a run down the line but we didn’t want to pass it to him as we know he’s shite so we went backwards and lost the opportunity.

Compare him to Sinclair Armstrong who came on…..light years apart
 
To be fair to the lad every time he starts we never play a style what I imagine would suit him, eg we never cross it or for that matter play anything in to him he can compete / hassle for.
 
Im not defending his performance at all, he was extremely poor but it took us till like the 66th minute to put a decent cross into the box that a striker could attack. Our style is not helping whoever we put up top at the minute.
 
He’s the worst number 9 I’ve seen in my lifetime. I’m 39 and yes we’ve had some shit but he’s the worst. Who ever scouted him wants sacking. He wouldn’t get a game for Ryhope CW. His lack of effort is disgusting.

I have seen enough of both Hemir and Burstow to persuade me that neither of them is good enough for this level of football.
I accept their are mitigating factors for both that has had an effect on their lack of impact however one excuse that we need to stop trotting out is the supposed lack of service.
They don t make the runs,they don't challenge their markers, they don't demand the ball and they don't try hard enough to score.

Said the same a few weeks back. Pluck someone from the northern league and they’d offer more than any of the CF we signed in the summer. Frightening that almost everyone who watches us can see it. Yet the bloke who is going to be carrying out our recruitment in the summer can’t.

One of my mates said exactly this as we were walking out yesterday - that someone from the local leagues would be a better option than what we have.
 
I would love to see the stats we looked at when the decision was made to sign him.

I am really struggling to see any pace, creativity, aggression, talent, finishing ability, or overall will to play the game of football from him at all.

At least at the start of the season he was missing chances, doesn't even get a sniff of a chance these days.

Needs to go out on loan next season to somewhere where he'll be under less pressure and can try and learn the game.
