He reminds me of Moyes . . . Defeatist attitude.

Were you behind AN all the way?
I disagreed with changing the manager firstly

I preferred Neil over the other candidates, never been a fan of Roy Keane coming back as it’s nostalgia and we’ve seen how that can end up, and McCann, well, where he belongs now.

I thought his first four home games were absolutely dire and gave me no confidence ahead of playing better teams. If things didn’t improve he didn’t deserve a free pass for next year.

Went down to Oxford, the team had great balance and really impressed me in a high stakes game. Play offs he’s shown he’s absolutely the right man with all the pressure we coped with and that I was totally wrong to doubt changing the manager was right or that he wouldn’t take us on a 16 game unbeaten run and get us up

Fair play to the OP for admitting he was wrong.

Football fans in general tend to be far too reactionary, and message boards like this bring out the worst of it.

Anyone got any Pritchard or Roberts threads to bump from earlier this season? ;)

Aye no doubt mate, I bet we all spout some shite about football now and again (I know I do!) and if it's all there for someone to dredge up months down the road anyone can be made to look a tit, by someone with enough time to go trawling

Oh no. I’m so angry and upset that we’ve got promoted and that the manager improved on two dreadful performances and I had to travel all over the country and to Wembley to watch it. I’m so angry and upset. Shame people like you that couldn’t get tickets for Wembley are so angry and annoyed.

I was there is phase one cos I'm an safc fan not a mag like you.

“A mag” 😂😂 Is that your only resort. I was there and had one of the best days of my life. If you were there why are you so upset and angry, surely it was the one of the best days of your life? Try cracking a smile for once.

Been smiling non stop since Saturday, that doesn't stop me calling out the numptires who were absolutely destroying Neil after a couple of games. He took over a side that had just lost 3 in a row, conceding 10 goals in the process against three terrible sides. Players like Neil and Doyle had been flogged to death and hung out to dry by Johnson, yet you expected any manager to just walk in and transform all that instantly. He lost 1 game in 18, starting by taking the heat of a shell-shocked defence.

Indisputable

Time proves all of us right and wrong. At some point Neil will likely leave the same way as he started...fired with enthusiasm.

He had a shit start I had my doubts because all that mattered was to get out of that division...I'm delighted he proved my doubts unfounded. Let's just enjoy it while things are on the up and have a bit more patience.
