Hayden Hackney

I like Hackney , Ive watched a lot of Boro in the championship , my eldest Gson is a Boro fan. He’s class at that level , but the championship is a huge drop in quality compared to the PL.Can he make the step up ? It’s debatable. If we are taking gambles on potential that’s unproven at PL level , I’d rather we stick to our current model , buying them younger. He’s 24 in 3 weeks. 20-22 gives the player a couple more years to improve/prove himself. I agree with you about him being ahead of DN.
Oliese Wharton Scott eze etc all come from the championship and stepped up

He looked their most dangerous player when he came on against us. Mind I was surprised how shite Ndiaye looked against us. Thought he was superb at the start of the season.
His performance was a great example of how we've developed over season and learned lessons.

I watched him play an international the other night and he was excellent

I like Jobe and think he's a good player. Hopefully, he shows out in the next u21 euros like Hackney, Scott and Anderson last time, I just don't feel he's quite on their level.
Jobe is playing for Dortmund and is nearly 3 and a half years younger

Hackney is yet to play higher than the championship and turns 24 in a few weeks

Players develop at different rates.

I’m willing to bet the lad is will end up a top half Premier League player, he is actually quite good.

I’m not claiming he isn’t good or doesn’t have potential

However for the one who said Jobe isnt in his class, one is currently playing for Borussia Dortmund at the age of 20. The other has never played higher than the championship and turns 24 in a few weeks

I now know what you were saying and I haven’t read the thread in its entirety as well so apologies.

I do think he’ll make it in the higher tier though.

Mind saying that, I also thought Dan Neil would and Reg thought differently
