Hayden Hackney

Was just going to say Everton all over him, not in a bad way just don't see him as a fit for us and I am not sure we seem other than a squad player. Whilst we need filler of some quality, not 20 mill filler
If Everton pay 20 million they are mugs. Hope they do though coz at the moment I think Everton gonna struggle next season.Good for us. Bong eyes will be gone after 10 games.

Dan Neil is a good solid player, but Hackney is ahead. Well ahead. Dan struggled for game time at Ipswich and Hackney got the league player of the year. They are very similar ages and Hackney has plenty of U21 caps and Neil has none. He might not end up being successful in the premier league, but I'd take him here, especially if the fee is around the "10 million mark.

It's a no brainer. Any championship player of the year who is English and under say, 28, has to be worth a punt at that price.
The u21 thing is a bit of a red herring. Neil was a month too old for the qualifying period that Hackney was able to benefit from till he was 23. Hackney probably is a better player, but u21 selection was largely a technicality.

After Everton paid over the odds for Dibling from Southampton (£40M), who didn’t feature much for them last season, you’d have thought they’d look further afield.

This smacks of another pricey, risky transfer for Everton. I’m all here for it though. Another side I think we’ll be stronger than, next season (again).

Good as don’t want him here, not worth 15m never mind 25/30m
Probably worth a punt at £15 mill just given the way it works in the Prem if they have one good season but yeah not much more. He's quite poor defensively from what I've seen, not great at checking over his shoulder and loses players a lot which will get even more exposed at this level.

You mean Dibling

Everton also signed George from Chelsea on loan and practically wasted his entire season barely playing him. Think we were strongly linked last summer and he'd definitely have played more for us

They only signed George in January so it wasn’t really an entire season. I was surprised he didn’t start more games though.

Oh was it? thought he'd been there all season for some reason

Aye especially once Grealish was out i thought him and Ndiaye would be their wingers

He looked their most dangerous player when he came on against us. Mind I was surprised how shite Ndiaye looked against us. Thought he was superb at the start of the season.

He's not a £20M player even in these inflated prices times.

He'll do alright at Everton without being brilliant, exactly like Garner has. Wont ever pull up any trees but he'll see out a 5 year contract unless they massively upgrade any time soon.
