Great championship player no doubt, but am I missing something here?

He's 24 in a few weeks time since is hardly an up and coming youngster. I don't think I've seen hype like this since Adam Wharton

Adam Wharton would be worth double right now, that so I suppose 30m would be a bargain
 
Suppose the man utd link is made up cos of Carrick,spurs will be linked with everyone, leeds maybes as nearby.
Palace and Forest wont even have heard of him.
My bowa mates say he's champo level.

He’s linked with Man Utd because apparently Carrick rates him highly having coached him at Boro.

£30m isn't a big transfer fee

Another example of why we shop abroad
They talking 30 million for someone who is 24 and never kicked a ball in the premier league or full international for his country oh and he has only 12 months left on his contract, madness
He’s good from what I’ve seen no doubt but Man Utd going for him, not at that level
We’ve done the same with Jobe as well, we had their eyes out
Nice reminder we paid just over the same Xhaka and Sadiki combined

There's certainly more options abroad but Wharton, Scott and Anderson all came from English clubs and excelled in the England U21 setup like Hackney.

I think Hackney will be a good player in the PL but can't see the fee being 30M, more 15-20M.
