so ha'way then, feel free to critique.

I like the editing on them. The lighting seems a bit harsh on the forehead in a couple of them if I'm being critical.

Oh, and wadn't.

thats what i want. Was surprised at the harshness of the octabox like, thought it would be loads softer.

Aye just a bit hot on the forehead, also did you skin smooth as some look a little plastic (but only a tiny bit).

Top one eye nearest the camera is OOF, shooting in this type of set up there's no need for a shallow DOF so would be expecting you to shoot at a narrower aperture and then no probs with anything not being sharp.

2nd one I'd probs lift the shadow below her more lit eye slightly but like the low key overall feel

3rd is very good but looks like she needs a piss :D

Rest are all fine but suffer from her slightly shite posing (nothing you could do about that and it's not too bad really)

Last one is the strongest, cracking shot

cheers mate. In regards to the top one, I dunno whats happened, in the lightroom raw its sharp but once converted looks OOF. It was shot at f8 on a 85mm lens.

In regards to the skin smoothing - yer I did. It looked OK to my tired eyes last night at 11pm but when viewed today with fresh eyes, I agree, it needs reigned in a bit.

Is she a model mayhem freebie Ross? How many did you have to try ? ;)

Head and shoulders shots look great to me. She's a bonny girl with very attractive eyes.

You / she seem to have gone for exclusively sultry / moody look (?) That mainly works - though would it also be worth some lighter / smiling type pictures too? Perhaps that would extend her repertoire of shots - since she's obviously seeking some for her portfolio.

As others have commented - some awkwardness around the poses on the longer shots - though would imagine she would learn from that in a follow up shoot. Also some shots going much closer into her face - her eyes are lovely and I would suspect take closer examination.

I think her skin colour / texture looks stunning - absolutely gorgeous - and your lighting has captured that really well.

Cheers!

Know nowt about the technicalities of the photography, but it looks on a few of them as if she is posing under the stairs or somewhere with limited headroom.
