No he's not. He's off to Germany in the summer window. No idea which club as my Scouse bellend of a pal decided to have a coughing fit. Definitely away to Germany though

I think that’s because there was a compulsory purchase deal in place if he plays an amount of games. I’m sure I remember at the start of the season there was some issue where they tried to send him back and Liverpool wouldn’t take him as they didn’t want to pay his wages, and then because he had already been registered to Liverpool and Villa, he couldn’t register with anybody else. So then Villa basically said they wouldn’t play him?

I may have remembered this wrong but I remember thinking he needs to sack his agent like.

No, you've got it spot on. He was about 4 or 5 games away from triggering the obligation to buy clause and Villa had decided he wasn't worth the price they'd originally agreed. Tried to renegotiate the deal with Liverpool who basically said on yer bike and he hasn't had a look in since. Was it not just PL games he had to play though rather than overall meaning he could play in Europe League, FA Cup and League Cup?

Think that was down to a clause that meant playing him they’d have to sign him a bit like us and gurty.

Strange one seems to been around for ages yet is still super young. Showed flashes at Liverpool of being quality. I just don’t think he’s top four level but that pack below given games he’d be a good signing.

Just can’t see us signing players from premier league teams unless it’s in with a deal or on a free. There just isn’t the value we look for in signing big names from this league.
 
Similar to traore in that he loves a shot from distance on the left foot. Imagine there'd be some decent competition for him if he's in the mid/high 20s range
