Hartlepool United

Honestly, I feel like I’m the only person in Darlington who supports both Sunderland and Darlo.
Starting to think there are no Sunderland fans on here who actually keep an eye on Darlington!
What makes it even funnier is Hartlepool having a millionaire owner, while Darlo are a fan‑owned club plus rent a stadium that plays at home which isnt ideal.
Same craic up the road — Sunderland and Newcastle both have big‑money owners, but Newcastle are basically one of the richest clubs in the world now.
And I’m just sat here thinking, “Meh… fooking Pool always seem to have luck on their side." but yeah im bloody jealous of Hartlepool but fair play.
I’m not sure about Pools always having luck on our side mate. We’ve had some “characters” at the club who’ve almost destroyed a proud club. But we are fortunate in getting the new owner in that’s for sure.
Personally, I admire the way Darlo fans have supported their club & hopefully someone comes along & backs you, all the best.

Had a girlfriend back I'm the 90s, who came from Darlo, went to a few games with her father at Feethams, quirky ground, handy near town centre for pre and post match pint. Never could understand the logic of moving out of town. Fond memories, but must admit to not "keeping tabs" on Darlo results recently, might try and get to Shields when they play there again
Yeah, I agree. Feethams was a unique stadium. Now it’s all apartments and housing, although the cricket ground is still there.
If Reynolds had invested properly in the squad and focused on steady progress before building a new stadium, things could have turned out very differently. But sadly, he was too ambitious and wanted to make a big show of his wealth. In the end, it all collapsed. He was a criminal fella.

Just noticed that the owner had a meeting with ALL the different fans groups. Hopefully it’s a sign that all the different groups are all on the same page & will work together under Mr. Smith’s leadership to take the club forward.

Pools have luck on their side? What have I missed in the last 33 years?

Going down tonight.

Hope the Carlisle fans leave our seats intact this time.
Been to a few carlisle away games over the years, never seen a set of fans smash up one of their own pubs, mental

The police were useless too, forced anyone not wearing colors into the same line on one side of the street despite how obvious it was that someone had came from the pools fans

Way worse than owt ive ever seen following sland.

Coppers chinned etc! Pre cctv i guess.
Was that the first game of the season... Carlisle got a new owner, place was packed and Pools won 1-3, at least two to a seat in the Pools end, was carnage  . Always tasty when pools go up to Carlisle

What a goal that was

I went back in 2015 last away game of the season, Ronnie Moore in charge, 3-0 down at HT came back to draw 3-3.

Loads went up the night before and stayed over, think the numbers put few of their fans off trying out as there was a bit of tension in the pubs!
